ome fruit flies are born with curly wings which makes them unable to fly. It has been shown that curly wings are caused by a dom

inant gene which can be represented by the symbol W, while the recessive normal wing gene is represented by the symbol w. If a parent fly with the genotype WW is crossed with a parent of the genotype Ww, what percentage the offspring will have curly wings?

WW | Ww | wW | ww. The (W) is the most dominant and while the (w) is the least. 3 if them are dominant which is 75%, on the other hand, 1 is (w,w) which is curly wings and it equals to 25%. So, I think the answer is 25% will have curly wings.

1. There would be an uncoupling of proton translocation and ATP synthesis. 2. ATP synthase would remain sensitive to Fo proton conduction inhibitors.

Adenosine di phosphate (ADP) and inorganic phosphate are used to create the energy storage molecule adenosine triphosphate (ATP) by a protein called ATP synthase (Pi). It is categorized as a ligase since it modifies ADP by forming a P-O link (phosphodiester bond).

A molecular device called ATP synthase. Energy-wise, the production of ATP from ADP and Pi is undesirable, and the process would typically go the other way.

A proton (H+) concentration gradient across the inner mitochondrial membrane in eukaryotes or the plasma membrane in bacteria drives this reaction forward by coupling ATP synthesis during cellular respiration to the gradient.

Prokaryotic cells cell walls contain peptidoglycan sensitive to traditional antibacterial antibiotic. True or False
kherson [118]

Answer:

True

Explanation:

Prokaryotic cell or bacterial cell contain cell wall which is made up of peptidoglycan and traditional antibacterial antibiotics were able to interfere with the cell wall synthesis and cause the destruction of bacterial cells.

For example, one of the most traditional antibiotic is penicillin which inhibit the synthesis of bacterial cell wall by blocking transpeptidation reaction. As it inhibits new cell wall formation it results in the formation of holes in the cell wall.

These holes in the cell allow movement molecules inside the cell and cause osmotic cell lysis. Therefore the statement is true.
