<h2>Answer with explanation:</h2>

1. Let x = Number of nickels

y= Number of quarters

Equation: x+y= 20  (i)

Equation: 0.05x+0.25y=3   (ii)  [∵ 1 nickel = $0.05 , 1 quarter = $0.25]

Multiply equation (ii) by 20, we get

x+5y=60  (iii)

Eliminate (i) from (iii), we get

4y=40\Rightarrow\ y=10

put y= 10 in (i) ,

x+10=20\Rightarrow\ x=10

Sentence = " Jane has 10 nickels and 10 quarters".

2. Let x = Number of dimes

y= Number of nickels

Equation: x+y= 12  (i)

Equation: 10x+5y=75   (ii)  [∵ 1 nickel = 5 cents, 1 quarter = 25 cents]

Multiply equation (i) by 5, we get

5x+5y=60  (iii)

Eliminate (iii) from (ii), we get

5x=15\Rightarrow\x=3

put x=3 in (i) ,

3+y=12\Rightarrow\ y=9

Sentence = " Joey has 3 dimes and 9 nickels".

The population of Stark county this year is 7,921 people. Last year the population was 7,547 people. Find the approximate percen
Sholpan [36]

Answer:

Option (C)

Step-by-step explanation:

To determine the population we use the formula,

P_n=P_0(1+r)^{n}

Where P_n = final population

P_0 = Initial population

r = percentage growth

Now we substitute these values in the formula,

7921=7547(1+r)^1

\frac{7921}{7547}=(1+r)

r = 1.0496 - 1

r = 0.0496

r = 0.05

Therefore, percentage growth of the population of Stark county is 5%.

Option (C). will be the answer.

Y=1/3x + 2 what is the domain?
Trava [24]

Answer:

To find the domains you must graph this equation and find the x-coordinates of the points plotted. That's the domain.

Remember, if two points have the same x-coordinate then do not repeat the number when stating the domain. Domain also always must be written in the least to greatest order. Domains must be written with {} enclosing them.

So if the x-coordinates were 4,5,6,4,7,5

You would write the domain as {4,5,6,7}

Vlad [161]
By definition, the formula for finding the area of a trapezoid is
 A = [(b1 + b2) x h] / 2
 Where,
 b1: Base 1
 b2: Base 2
 h: height, or distance between bases.
 Substituting we have:
 A = ((5 + 4) * (2.5)) / 2
 A = 11.25 feet ^ 2

 Answer:
 the area of the seat is:
 A = 11.25 feet ^ 2
