PLEASE HELP WITH MIDDLE SCHOOL MATH 1 Q THATS MULTIPLE CHOICE I NEED HELP PLEASE FOR BRAINLIEST*(08.06 MC)
Bess [88]
All you have to do is try out both of the equations with each of the different choices.

200 = 45 (3) + 20
200 = 135 + 20
200 = 155

200 = 35 (3) + 60
200 = 105 + 60
200 = 165
So, this one does not work.
--------------------------------------------
180 = 45 (3) + 20
180 = 135 + 20
180 = 155

180 = 35 (3) + 60
180 = 105 + 60
180 = 165
So, this one does not work.
----------------------------------------------
200 = 45 (4) + 20
200 = 180 + 20
200 = 200

200 = 35 (4) + 60
200 = 140 + 60
200 = 200
So this one works.

The answer would be C.

I hope this helps and I'm sorry it took so long!

BartSMP [9]
So she has used two kinds of sugar, brown and powdered.

She used 2 \frac{3}{4} cups of brown sugar and  1 \frac{3}{4} cups of powdered sugar: we need to add the two numbers:

2 \frac{3}{4}+1 \frac{3}{4}= 2+1+\frac{3}{4}+ \frac{3}{4}=3\frac{6}{4}=3+1+ \frac{2}{4}  =4 \frac{2}{4}=4 \frac{1}{2}=4.5

so the correct answer is 4.5
