Etruscan women are thought to have enjoyed greater freedom and esteem study pool than Greek women. How is this reflected in Etru
jok3333 [9.3K]

Etruscan women had more social freedom than Greek women, this can be seen in tomb paintings which portray Etruscan drinking parties where married women are seen participating. Also, many tomb paintings portray married women at sporting events.

Another evidence of that is that Etruscan women had big tombs with ornaments, which was not possible in Greek society.

I believe, that in our society the major visual evidence of greater freedom for women are the pictures that show women portraying different social parts and wearing different clothes which were not possible in other moments of history that are shown in paintings for example.

What is the best term to describe Native American ancestry/descent? a)Patrilineal b)Matrilineal c)Bilineald d)Antilineal
scoray [572]

Answer: b)Matrilineal

Explanation:

Before the Europeans came and had the Native Americans adopt their principles of Patrilineal descent, Native Americans were predominantly Matrilineal in ancestry.

This means that the Natives claimed descent from their mother's clan and women were important enough to be involved in making decisions that concerned the tribe. Some tribes even conferred on women elders, the right to depose a leader who they felt was inefficient.

kakasveta [241]

Prince Henry of Portugal – also called Prince Henry the Navigator – began Portugal’s great age of exploration. From about 1419 until his death in 1460, he sent several sailing expeditions down the coast of Africa.4 In 1481, King John II of Portugal began sending expeditions to find a sea route around the southern shores of Africa. Many explorers made several attempts. It was Bartolomeu Dias who was the first to round Africa and make it to the Indian Ocean in 1488. But he was forced to head back to Portugal before he could make it to India.
