Sectionalism has quite a few definitions. I don't know what it means, but I'm willing to do some research and provide you with the best definition.

DEFINE SECTIONALISM:
→When you are loyal to someone's region or their section of a country (if they're not "over" an entire country). 
→"Undue concern with local interests or petty distinctions at the expense of general well-being" -Google

WHY TWO DEFINITIONS?

Short Summary: Both were civil rights leaders during the 1960s and 1950s. There main goals were to increase the rights given to minorities and to decrease discrimination. Malcom X took a more violent approach, as his Blank Panthers were often armed and sometimes described as black militias. Martin luther however took a peaceful non aggresive path, as shown through the boycotts and marches he partook in.
