Answer: The correct answer is-

a. 0.3

Explanation-

As per the question, the frequency of blue eyes (which is a recessive trait) is 0.09.

Let us consider the genotype for it be 'qq' ( q representing recessive allele) that produces blue eyes.

According to equation of Hardy Weinberg principle-

p²+ 2pq+ q² = 1

where p² represent the genotype for dominant trait and q² is the genotype for recessive trait.

p represents frequency of dominant allele and q is recessive allele frequency.

q² =  0.09

q = √0.09

  =  0.3

Thus, option a) 0.3 is the right answer.

Assuming that other factors are equal, how are the birthrate and death rate
igor_vitrenko [27]

Answer:

In a stable population, if all the other factors are equal then the birth rate should be equal to the death rate in order to maintain the stability.

Explanation:

The birth rate is described as the number of births taking place in an area per year. Death rate is described as the number of deaths taking place in an area in a year.

In order to maintain a stable population, the birth rate should be equal to the death rate. If there are more number of births than the number of deaths, then it would mean more competition for resources like food, water etc.

HELP!! PLS O.o Looking at the heat circulation in the ocean, what might happen to it if large amounts of cold water are added in
Nonamiya [84]

Answer:

The warm upper waters towards the poles from the tropic is done by surface circulation. If large amounts of cold water are added in the Polar regions as glaciers melt then the hot water cannot flow to the poles, the cold water will make the water very dense, which won’t allow warm upper waters to flow.

The effect it would have in the climate of my area is that it will increase the temperature of the local areas because of the rise in temperature of the surface ocean water.
