The correct answer is a. by completing the speaker thought. "To the King's Most Excellent Majesty 1768" is a poem written by Phillis Wheatley. The poem dealt with King George and God. The poem praises King George. In "to the king's most excellent majesty", Wheatley expresses the nation's gratitude to King George III for the repeal of the Stamp Act. Wheatley neoclassical influence is the personification of such abstraction as virtue, recollection, imagination, and humanity.

Read the excerpt from “ the lady’s dressing room”: the goddess from her chamber issues, array’d in lace brocades and tissues .
snow_tiger [21]

The correct answer is option A ("Sarcastic").

In this short excerpt from Jonathan Swift's poem "The Lady's Dressing Room", we have a couple of clues that clearly enough indicate a sarcastic tone.

Primarily, what I'm looking at is the choice of words from the author:

The woman is not being addressed as a simple human but rather a female deity or goddess. Her struggles (as large as they may seem to her), are somewhat dismissed or mocked by the poet considering that the lady is surrounded by luxury. The mention of brocades also points towards that tonal direction, given that it's a highly expensive fabric most commonly laced with gold or silver.

Hope this helps!
