The first thing to do when your computer gives you a error message is

It depends on the error message.

If it pops up once, just press 'Ok', and it should go away. If it pops up a few more times I would either write down the error message to research on how to fix it or restart the computer. I don't know how the F2 key would help in this matter, but it does depend on the error message..
