This graph shows the solution to which inequality?

Mathematics
2 answers:

m=\frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1} \\ \\ m=\frac{2-(-6)}{3-(-3)} \\ \\ m=\frac{8}{6} \\ \\ m=\frac{4}{3}

The y-intercept of the graph is -2

The graph is shaded upwards, so we will be using the greater than symbol, but since the line is dotted we will not be using any of the "equal to" symbols.

Hence, the solution of the graph is y>m=\frac{4}{3} x-2

<h2>Answer:</h2>

Option: C is the correct answer.

              C.   y>\dfrac{4}{3}x-2

<h2>Step-by-step explanation:</h2>

By looking at the graph we observe that the line is dotted this means that the inequality will be strict.

Also, this line passes through the point (-3,-6) and (3,2).

Hence, the equation of line is calculated by using a two point form i.e. a line passing through two  points (a,b) and(c,d) is calculated with the help of formula as:

y-b=\dfrac{d-b}{c-a}\times (x-a)

Here (a,b)=(-3,-6) and (c,d)=(3,2)

i.e.

y-(-6)=\dfrac{2-(-6)}{3-(-3)}\times (x-(-3)}\\\\i.e.\\\\y+6=\dfrac{2+6}{3+3}\times (x+3)\\\\i.e.\\\\y+6=\dfrac{8}{6}\times (x+3)\\\\i.e.\\\\y+6=\dfrac{4}{3}\times (x+3)\\\\i.e.\\\\y+6=\dfrac{4}{3}x+4\\\\i.e.\\\\y=\dfrac{4}{3}x-2

Also, the shaded region is towards the origin.

                    Hence, the inequality is:

                  y>\dfrac{4}{3}x-2

You are interested in purchasing a new car. One of the many points you wish to consider is the resale value of the car after 5 y
gulaghasi [49]

Answer:

The 95% confidence interval for the true mean resale value of a 5-year-old car of this model

(11,688.68 , 12,511.32)

Step-by-step explanation:

<u><em>Step(i)</em></u>:-

Given sample size 'n' = 17

mean of the sample x⁻ = 12,100

Standard deviation of the sample (S) = 800

The 95% confidence interval for the true mean resale value of a 5-year-old car of this model

(x^{-} - t_{0.05} \frac{S}{\sqrt{n} } , x^{-} + t_{0.05} \frac{S}{\sqrt{n} } )

<u><em>Step(ii):-</em></u>

<u><em>Degrees of freedom ν =n-1 = 17-1 =16</em></u>

<u><em></em></u>t_{(16 , 0.05)} = 2.1199<u><em></em></u>

The 95% confidence interval for the true mean resale value of a 5-year-old car of this model

(x^{-} - t_{0.05} \frac{S}{\sqrt{n} } , x^{-} + t_{0.05} \frac{S}{\sqrt{n} } )

(12,100 - 2.1199\frac{800}{\sqrt{17} } , 12,100 + 2.1199 \frac{800}{\sqrt{17} } )

(12,100 - 411.32 , 12,100 + 411.32)

(11,688.68 , 12,511.32)

The surface area of a cone is 43.75 cm2 what is the slant height of the cone ? The base diameter is 5
kramer
<span>The first step in finding the surface area of a cone is to measure the radius of the circle part of the cone. The next step is to find the area of the circle, or base. The area of a circle is 3.14 times the radius squared (<span>πr2</span><span>). Now, you will need to find the area of the cone itself. In order to do this, you must measure the side (slant height) of the cone. Make sure you use the same form of measurement as the radius.

You can now use the measurement of the side to find the area of the cone. The formula for the area of a cone is 3.14 times the radius times the side (</span>πrl<span>).

So the surface area of the cone equals the area of the circle plus the area of the cone and the final formula is given by:</span>

<span>SA = πr2<span> + πrl</span></span><span><span>

A phone company charges $0.06 per minute for local calls and $0.15 per minute for international calls. When your bill comes, it
solmaris [256]
Let's assume two variables x and y which represent the local and international calls respectively.

x + y = 852 = total number of minutes which were consumed by the company (equation 1)
0.06*x+ 0.15 y =69.84 = total price which was charged for the phone calls (Equation 2)
 from equation 1:-
x=852 -y (sub in equation 2)
0.06 (852 - y) + 0.15 y =69.84

51.12 -0.06 y +0.15 y =69.84 (subtracting both sides by 51.12)
0.09 y =18.74
y= 208 minutes = international minutes (sub in 1)
208+x=852 (By subtracting both sides by 208)
x = 852-208 = 644 minutes = local minutes
