Hemophilia is a hereditary disease that is characterized by a defect in blood clotting due to the lack of one of the factors involved in it and manifested by a persistence of bleeding. When the blood does not coagulate properly, excessive bleeding (internal and external)occurs after an injury. Symptoms include several large or deep bruises, inflammation and joint pain, unexplained bleeding and blood in the urine or feces.
