Why is the weight of an object more on Earth than on the Moon?
MissTica

The correct answer is:

Gravitational pull is greater on earth . As weight = mass × g so we have more weights on earth than on moon.

Explanation:

This is because gravitational force is immediately proportional to the mass of an object. Greater the mass, greater will be the gravitational force exerted by it and thus, more will be our weight. As the moon has secondary mass than the earth, it has a lighter gravitational influence and hence, we weigh less on the moon.

According to slide 12, what is the relationship between opportunistic infections and the number of T cells a person has? Explain
podryga [215]

Answer:

The fewer number of T cells a person has, the more chances to be affected by an opportunistic infection. When the number of T cells reaches 200 cells/µl, the person is at risk of being infected by other infections.

Explanation:

The whole immune system of a person who is infected with HIV infection seems to be severely affected. When the person is not treated or the disease is in a very advanced stage, the depletion of the T- cells turns to be very sharped, especially CD4+ T cells. At this point, the immune system can not resist the attack of other microorganisms. The lower is the number of CD4+ T Cells, the higher possibility the person has to be attacked by opportunistic infections.

Classically, it has been suggested that opportunistic infections appear after the CD4 + T lymphocytes reach very low levels, such as 200 cells/µl. The number of circulating T cells can be used as an indicator and a measure of global "immune competence", and the previously mentioned amount of CD4 + T cells is an accepted universal reference used to predict the risk of having one of these opportunistic infections.

If you sorted 200 flies by eye color and body color, how many whole flies out of that 200 would you expect to exhibit each of th
mafiozo [28]

9:3:3:1 is the ratio.

From the given data,

We have a 9.8 two, ratio since we have 49/5, 15/5, 18/5, and 5/5.

This ratio resembles nine a little bit, which is what we inferred from the opposition's score.

When the two relevant genes exhibit independent assortment, this is the result. Therefore, the chromosomes/genes are not connected.

We are finally getting a ratio of 9:3:3:1

In flies, two possible outcomes for the body color phenotype is black and brown.

Whereas in eye color we have white eye and red eye.

Here, white eye is recessive and red eye is dominant

What does the independent assortment law entail?

 • According to Mendel's law of independent assortment, the alleles of two or more distinct genes are independently selected into gametes.
 • In other words, an allele for one gene does not affect the allele for another gene that a gamete acquires.

Where can I find independent assortment?

 • Meiosis I of gamete production, when homologous pairs line up in random orientations at the center of the cell as they prepare to split, provides the physical foundation for the law of independent assortment.
