You divide 288 by 6 and get the answer of 48

I'm not completely sure but my guess is this.
So you have 6 players+2 alternatives, and + a coach. That is a total of 9 people on each team. You have 288 people total, if you have 9 on each team your best guess is to write the equation-  288 divided by 9. which will give you a total of 32 teams.
