julsineya [31]
U start with 17,985...u add a number and the result is still 17,985. There is only 1 way this can happen and that is if the number u added was 0.

17,985 + 0 = 17,985....this is the additive identity property...which simply states that u can add 0 to a number and it still keeps its identity.

A school teacher is worried that the concentration of dangerous, cancer-causing radon gas in her classroom is greater than the s
kompoz [17]

Answer: At a 5% significance level, the critical value is <u>1.690</u>.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let \mu denotes the average concentration of radon gas.

Given : A school teacher is worried that the concentration of dangerous, cancer-causing radon gas in her classroom is greater than the safe level of 4pCi/L.

As per given , the appropriate hypothesis to test :

\text{Null hypothesis }:H_0:\mu\leq4

\text{Alternative hypothesis }:H_a:\mu>4

[Note : Alternative hypothesis used to express strictly greater than or less than signs and null hypothesis is opposite of it.]

∵ alternative hypothesis is right tailed , so the test must be a right tailed test (one-tailed test.)

Also the population standard deviation is unknown , so we use t-test.

[Note : we have given sample standard deviation as s=1pCi/L. ]

Sample size : 36

Then , degree of freedom = n-1=35

Now, for \alpha=0.05 level of significance, the right-tailed critical value would be

t_{df, \alpha}=t_{35,0.005}=1.690      [Using the students' t-distribution table ]

Hence, At a 5% significance level, the critical value is t_{df, \alpha}=1.690.

Consider the leading term of the polynomial function. What is the end behavior of the graph? Describe the end behavior and provi
Nookie1986 [14]
The leading term is -3x^5.  The end behavior of any function is the behavior that the highest powered term has as x approaches ±oo.

In this case because the highest order term is -3x^5, as x approaches -oo, y approaches +oo.  And as x approaches +oo, y approaches -oo.

7th grade math plz help
mina [271]

Answer:

x = 3

y = 3/2

Step-by-step explanation:

look at the hangers to form an equation:

x + x + x + 3 + 3 + 3 = x + x + y + y + y + y

simplify

3x + 3 = 2x + 4y

x + 3 = 4y

x = 4y - 3

you also know that

x + x = y + y + y + y

2x = 4y

substitute x = 4y - 3 into this equation ^

2x = 4y

2(4y - 3) = 4y

8y - 6 = 4y

4y = 6

y = 6/4

y = 3/2

2x = 4y

2x = 12/2

2x = 6

x = 3
