practical

Even though Grendel seems as though he's being harsh by eating the exile, he is actually being practical. He says he tries to do things that are more considerate like befriending or ignoring him. However, since the exiles were treacherous, eating them is the most practical solution.

Answer:

The answer is D) practical.

Explanation:

In this specific excerpt, Grendel is perfectly capable of logical reasoning as well as feelings. He does feel some sort of compassion for the exiles, which leads him to try and befriend them. But his intelligence also tells him to ignore them when it is convenient. In the end, his practicality wins over everything else. If the exiles cannot be trusted, if they are treacherous, it is best to get rid of them. If to get rid of them they are going to be killed, then it is best to eat them instead of letting their flesh go to waste.

Grendel was originally a character in the epic poem "Beowulf". He was portrayed as an evil monster that devours men. Author John Gardner, however, wrote a novel in which we get to see things from Grendel's perspective. In the novel, he is misunderstood and isolated by men due to his incapacity to express his thoughts and feelings.

Read this excerpt from The Great Fire.
vitfil [10]

Answer:

C) is the greatest option because it clearly explains the causes for the false warning and its impact.

Explanation:

This passage from "The Great Fire" features a cause-and-effect framework that helps viewers comprehend why firemen responded ineffectively. We're told that the initial mistake was made by one man, Schaffer, who struck a different box than would have been optimum. He quickly understood that wasn't the case and ordered box 319 to be struck. The second error is made by Schaffer's assistant, William. He refuses to do as he is told, despite the fact that the instruction came from his supervisor. Firefighters are perplexed by his audacity since he hits the wrong box. As a result, the fire was not effectively battled, and it burned for several terrible minutes because firms didn't know what to do.

Most new products fall into the category described as: dynamically continuous innovation. added-value innovation. platform-based
Nostrana [21]

Answer:

continuous innovation

Explanation:

The vast majority of new products can be classified as continuous innovations (or incremental innovations) where one existing product is changed into a new product. By carrying out continuous innovations, the producers do not alter existing consumer habits. Most consumers rarely notice continuous innovations and they do not even consider that they are actually using a new product. E.g. every time the formula for a soap, detergent, shampoo, etc., changes it is considered a continuous innovation even though people still buy the same product. Continuous innovations basically refers to improving existing products.
