Under the feudal system, who owned the land (known as a fief) provided to a knight in exchange for money or loyalty
Arada [10]

Lord

Feudalism was a blend of judicial and martial practices in ancient Europe that prospered among the 9th and 15th centuries. Army, cultural, and administrative procedures all developed the feudal system, in which land was substituted for work. In a feudal system, a farmer or craftsman recognized as a vassal acquired a piece of land in the record for assisting a lord or master, particularly during times of war.

butalik [34]

The Atlantic system was the set of complex interactions that connected African labor, American land, and mineral resources, and European technology and military power.

This is further explained below.

What is the Atlantic system?

Generally, The transatlantic slave trade was a component of the larger global slave trade that included the transportation of between 10 million and 12 million enslaved Africans over the Atlantic to the Americas during the years of the 16th and 19th centuries.

A network of people, raw resources, completed commodities, traders, and mariners that brought prosperity to colonial empires was tied together by the Atlantic Ocean throughout the time of colonialism.

This ocean functioned as a highway between European, Africa, and the Americas.

4.16: A New Century Unit Test
Mazyrski [523]

Answer:

c. They wanted immigrants barred from the United States.

Explanation:

Nativism refers to a political position that privileges the welfare and the interests of the people who have been born in certain place (the natives) over immigrants. As more and more immigrants moved to the United States in the late 19th century, the nativist movement gained strength, and they wanted immigrants barred from the United States, especially those coming from China, Italy, and Eastern Europe. The nativists scored some successes, especially with the passing of the Emergency Quota Act of 1921, which placed restrictions on how many immigrants could enter the United States. This Act was further expanded by the Immigration Act of 1924, which banned immigrants from Asia and set strict limits on immigrants from other parts of the world, especially Eastern Europe. This discriminatory policy stayed in force until the passage of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965.
