F(x) = 1 / 2<br> g(x) = x - 4<br> Can you evaluate (g o f) (0)? Explain why or why<br> not.
Vitek1552 [10]

For this case we have the following functions:

f (x) = \frac {1} {2}\\g (x) = x-4

We must find (g_ {o} f) (x). For definition of composition of functions we have to:

(g_ {o} f) (x) = g (f (x))

So:

g (f (x)) = \frac {1} {2} -4 = \frac {1-8} {4} = \frac {-7} {4} = - \frac {7} {4}

Then, for any value of "x", the composite function has a value of- \frac {7} {4}.

Thus,(g_ {o} f) (0)cannot be evaluated, it will always be obtained - \frac {7} {4}.

ANswer:

For any value of "x", the composite function has a value of- \frac {7} {4}.

To find the standard equation for a circle centered at the origin, we use the distance formula, since the radius measures? A. Th
masya89 [10]

Answer:

  A. The distance from any point in the circle to the origin

Step-by-step explanation:

The distance formula tells you that the distance (d) is related to the coordinates of two points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) by ...

  d² = (x2 -x1)² +(y2 -y1)²

For points (x, y) on the circle and (0, 0) at the origin, this becomes ...

  d² = (x -0)² +(y -0)²

If we want the distance to the point (x, y) to be equal to the radius of the circle, this becomes ...

  x² +y² = r² . . . . . . the standard equation of a circle centered at the origin

Solve for v.<br> u=e+g-v
Dovator [93]

The resulting expression for the variable v is u - e - g

<h3>Subject of formulas</h3>

Subject of formula is a way of representing a variable in terms of another variable.

Given the expression below;

u=e+g-v

We are to make v the subject of the formula

Subtract e + g from both sides

u- (e + g)=e+g-v - (e+g)

u - (e+g) =v

Expand the left hand side of the expression

u - e - g = v

Swap

v = u - e - g

Hence the resulting expression for the variable v is u - e - g
