Judging by the above factors, China can be classified as an MEDC country because it has a Low birth rate of 12.17 per 1000 births, a low death rate of 7.44 deaths/1000 population, GNP of 98,909 USD as at 2014. MEDC countries have a GNP of more than 10,000 USD. China has a life expectancy of 75.2 which is considered high and which characterizes MEDC countries. China has also grown to have a high literacy level due to easy access to or free education, adequate decent housing as well as easy access to proper medical care.
