What is the difference between the free exercise clause and the establishment clause?

History

The Free Exercise clause states that Congress cannot restrict your choice of religion, nor your exercising that religion. It must be an bona fide religion, however. You can't make up a religion for the sole purpose of bypassing laws. The Establishment clause means that the government will not set up a new religion, or endorse one over any other. This does not mean that you cannot belong to any religion to be part of government. It means that the government will not (suppose to) pass laws that benefit one religion over any other.

why did president Hoover‘s response to the Great Depression fail please get specific details to support your answer
NikAS [45]
Hoover's response to the Great Depression was the Smoot-Hawley tariff which rose tariffs on over 20,000 products. This measure led to retaliation from foreign countries especially from Europe and they rose their own tariffs on their American imports, the American economy was hit back and it explains why Hoover's policy failed.
Hoover was nicknamed "Do nothing" by the Democrats, they blamed him for sticking to Laissez faire economics, but this accusation was wrong as he pushed for more state intervention which eventually failed.

What do you think Egypt could have done differently to save itself from decline? please fast.
umka21 [38]

Answer:

Finding a permanent solution to ruined harvest and mass famines

Explanation:

What Egypt could have done differently to save itself from decline is "finding a permanent solution to ruined harvest and mass famines."

This is because the major reason that is attributed to the fall of the Egyptian Empire are the following:

1. Great disparity in wealth between the aristocrats and the lower class

2. Constant war from neigboring city states

3. Culture and religion from other states.

Hence, to solve these issues, is to have a stable economy that is sustainable. And to have a sustainable economy is to ensure the city state or nation can feed itself well all the times, regardless of the climate change.

However, ancient Egypt struggled to maintain their economic growth which rest mainly on agriculture due to change in climate that effect their agricultural produce.

Therefore, in this case, the correct answer is "finding a permanent solution to ruined harvest and mass famines."
