The population of bacteria in a petri dish doubles every 24 h. The population of the bacteria is initially 500 organisms. How lo
liberstina [14]

Answer:

16.34 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the given information we can see that the case is of exponential growth

Hence, we will use the formula

A=P(2)^\frac{t}{24}

Here A =800 is the amount that is needed to reach

P is the initial amount that is 500

We have to find the time it will take to reach 800 that is we need to find t

On substituting the values in the formula we get

800=500(2)^\frac{t}{24}

On simplification we get

\Rightarrow\frac{8}{5}=(2)^\frac{t}{24}

Taking log on both sides we get

\Rightarrow\log\frac{8}{5}=\log(2)^\frac{t}{24}

using \log\frac{m}{n}=\log m-\log n

And \log a^m=m\log a

\Rightarrow\log{8}-\log{5}=\frac{t}{24}\log2

Now substituting values of log 8=0.903, log 5=0.698 and log 2=0.301 we get

\Rightarrow 0.903-0.698=\frac{t}{24}0.301

\Rightarrow 0.205=\frac{t}{24}0.301

\Rightarrow \frac{0.205}{0.301}\cdot 24=t

\Rightarrow t=16.34

How do i write a two column proof for this??<br><br>Given: PG ≅ SG and PT ≅ ST . Prove: ∠GPT ≅ ∠GST
Nikolay [14]

Answer:

PG ≅ SG (Given)

PT ≅ ST (Given)

GT = GT (Common)

∴ ∠GPT ≅ ∠GST (SSS Congruency Axiom)

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Given</u>: PG ≅ SG and PT ≅ ST

<u>To Prove</u>: ∠GPT ≅ ∠GST

<u>Proof</u>:  PG ≅ SG (Given)

PT ≅ ST (Given)

GT = GT (Common)

∴ ∠GPT ≅ ∠GST (SSS Congruency Axiom).

<u>SSS Congruency Axiom</u>:  If three pairs of sides of two triangles are equal in length, then the triangles are congruent.

<u>Congruence</u>: Two sets of points are called congruent if, and only if, one can be transformed into the other by an isometry, i.e., a combination of rigid motions, namely a translation, a rotation, and a reflection. This means that either object can be repositioned and reflected (but not resized) so as to coincide precisely with the other object. Two triangles are congruent if their corresponding sides are equal in length, and their corresponding angles are equal in measure.

Given the regular polygon, what is the measure of each numbered angle?
ANEK [815]

Answer:

Answer A

Step-by-step explanation:

Approach 1

B, C, and D are wrong because angles 1 and 2 are congruent.

Therefore your answer of both being 60°

Approach 2

Let x = angle 1.

360/x = 6

x = 60°.

Therefore Angle 1 is 60°

An interior angle of a hexagon is 120°

Let y = angle 2.

y is half of 120°

So 120/y = 2

y = 60°
