Deposition is where a river takes soil from the earth and moves it downstream to another location. Like in ancient China I believe, the river would flood and deposit rich soil in the fields. That's an example of deposition.
The umbilical region, in the anatomists' abdominal pelvic nine-region scheme, is the area surrounding the umbilicus and it is placed approximately on middle of distance between xiphoid process and pubic symphysis (navel).
