Hi
The most likely answer is true because the Virginia Company of England were granted permission from King James to start a new colony in the new world. Some historians believe that the settlers of Jamestown actually didn't have the King's permission to govern themselves, but then that is a story for another time.

Poster describing the important contribution of humanism and humanists in the present era
sdas [7]

Humanism is a philosophical stance that emphasizes the value and agency of human beings, individually and collectively. The meaning of the term humanism has fluctuated according to the successive intellectual movements which have identified with it.[1] Generally, however, humanism refers to a perspective that affirms some notion of human freedom and progress. It views humanity as responsible for the promotion and development of individuals, espouses the equal and inherent dignity of all human beings, and emphasizes a concern for humans in relation to the world.

In modern times, humanist movements are typically non-religious movements aligned with secularism, and today humanism may refer to a nontheistic life stance centred on human agency and looking to science rather than revelation from a supernatural source to understand the world.

What did the weakness of the League of Nations in 1928 suggest about its future effectiveness?
Volgvan
Well the U.N. is a more stable form of the league but its still not very effective because most countries have a mindset and plan of their own, but they try co operating with the UN.

The Leagues weakness suggested that there be a more stable form of it and more co operation from other countries. (Now the UN has their own military practically.)
