Y = mx + b where m = 32 with the point (-4,-2).
so
b = y - mx
b = -2 - 32(-4)
b = -2 + 128
b = 126

equation
y = 32x + 126

Hope it helps

The equation you are trying to follow is: y = mx + b.

m = slope
x = x
y = y

Plug in the numbers to it's corresponding variable

-2 = 32(-4) + b

Simplify. Multiply 32 with -4

32 x -4 = -128

-2 = -128 + b

isolate the b, add 128 to both sides

-2 (+128) = -128 (+128) + b

b = 128 - 2

b = 126

Plug in 126 for b

-2 = 32(-4) + 126

-2 = 32(-4) + 126 is your equation

hope this helps

the equation d=1/2n (n-3) gives the number of diagonals D for polygon with n sides. use this equation to find the number of side
alekssr [168]
To solve this problem you must apply the proccedure shown below:

1. You have that:

- The equation d=1/2(n(n-3)) gives the number of diagonals for the polygon.

- The polygon that has 65 diagonals..

2. When you clear n, you obtain:

d=n(n-3)/2
d=(n^2-3n)/2
2x65=n^2-3n
n^2-3n-130=0

3. When you solve the quadratic equation, you obtain:

n=13

Therefore, the answer is: 13 sides.

A jar contains 5 blue marbles, 6 yellow marbles, and 4 green marbles. What is the probablity of randomly choosing a yellow marbl
marusya05 [52]

First, you need to choose a yellow marble. That is 6/15.

Next, you need to choose a blue marble. That is 5/14, because 1 yellow marble would have been "chosen" already.

So the probability altogether is 6/15 * 5/14 = 1/7, or about 14%.

Hitman42 [59]

Answer:

5/6

Step-by-step explanation:

So to do this, lets convert all of these fractions into decimals by dividing:

5/6 --> 0.833...

7/12 --> 0.583...

4/7 --> 0.571...

2/3 --> 0.66...

From this, it can be see that it is 5/6, since it is a larger decimal compared to the other choices.
