Hello there!

Explanation: <u><em>Independent clause it express complete thoughts.</em></u> It can also stand alone as sentences. It has a subject and a verb. Differentiate between independent and dependent clauses by checking to see whether the clause expresses a complete thought. <u><em>Dependent clauses it does not express by complete thoughts.</em></u> It cannot stand alone as sentences. It has a subject and a verb.

Independent clauses sentences: Chris will finish it. The cat's toy is lost.

Dependent clauses sentences: When the party begins. Since Alyssa has a new game.

For example of independent clauses:

1. I was late.

2. We had a good time.

3. We will meet again tomorrow.

For example of dependent clauses:

1. Even though I was late.

2. Because we had a good time.

3. When we meet again tomorrow.

Hope this helps!

And thank you for posting your question at here on brainly, and have a great day.

Are the words 'profession', 'job,' 'trip,' and 'appearance' concrete or abstract nouns?
Solnce55 [7]
They are abstract nouns because they don't state directly what they stand for but rather a vague meaning left to individual interpretation. Concrete nouns would be blatantly specific in their meaning with little room for individual interpretation of their meaning.

“The heat, the thirst, the pestilential stench, the suffocating lack of air-these were as nothing compared with these screams wh
Anton [14]

Answer:

The sentence shown in the question above presents the figure of speech called a metaphor.

Explanation:

The metaphor is the figure of speech that presents a comparison between elements. This comparison is made subjectively, creating a deep, reflective and poetic meaning. In the sentence shown in the question above, we can perceive the metaphor because the sentence shows that there are screams that are so desperate that they cause more agony than the heat, the thirst, the stinking stench and the suffocating breathlessness. In this case, the metaphor was used to compare the agony that uncomfortable, negative and bad elements can cause.

Which detail from "Space Junk!" conveys the author's viewpoint that something needs to be done about the amount of debris in spa
saw5 [17]

The detail from <em>"Space Junk!"</em> that conveys the author's viewpoint that something needs to be done about the amount of debris in space is A. "Currently, there are around 900,000 pieces of debris between 1 centimeter and 10 centimeters in length orbiting in our space system, and this number is growing."

<h3>What is a Viewpoint?</h3>

This refers to the perspective of a person about a particular thing that may or may not be incorrect.

Hence, we can see that based on the fact that the viewpoint of the author is one that something needs to be done, this is a call to action and option A best shows the potential dangers if nothing is done.
