What is a communicable disease chain? what steps can a nurse can take to break a link within the communicable disease chain?
Kaylis [27]
A diseases may be classified as either communicable or non-communicable. Communicable diseases are caused by pathogens who inhabit a host, man (I'm not saying man is the only host or man is necessarily the final host; there could be many host) who in turn passes the disease to another. Pathogens are viral, bacterial, parasitic and fungal. There are several stages before the pathogen metamorphoses into a full-blown disease. The stages in which several events happen builds up before the pathogen affects the final host is called a communicable disease chain. There are six stages ( Pathogen, reservoir, portal of ext, mode of transmission, portal of entry and susceptible host) in the communicable disease chain but the step a nurse shouod take is 1. Destroy the second link (Reservoir) by thoroughly sanitizing the environment. Obviously, this is where the Pathogens live. If the reservoir is taken care of; there's no way they could infect the host.

Inessa05 [86]

Answer:

intrinsic

Explanation:

Proteins are dynamic molecules that are capable of INTRINSIC motion that can have important functional relevance. The existence of this type of motion has suggested that enzymes are capable - even in the absence of substrate - of many of the same movements that can be detected during their catalytic cycle

by what factor would the rate of diffusion across a membrane change if both its area and thickness doubled
Paul [167]

Answer:

Size of particle.

Explanation:

Size of the particles that are diffusing is the factors that greatly affect the rate of diffusion. The rate of diffusion decreases if the thickness of the membrane becomes doubled while on the other hand, if the surface area of the membrane increases it doubled the rate of diffusion of the cell. If the size of particles is very small so it will diffuse if the membrane has double thickness.

poizon [28]
The ribosomal RNAs complex with proteins to form two subunits, the large subunit (LSU) and small subunit (SSU).
