Battle of Gonzales

The people of Gonzales had a small brass cannon that Mexican authorities had given them in 1831 for protection against Native American attacks.
The Texans did not want to give the cannon to the Mexicans so they hid it under ground and a blacksmith brought it out Texas decorated it and it said come and take it and as the Mexicans came to get it the blacksmith fired the cannon at them.
They were happy after the battle of Goliad because they just won two battles in a row.

Take a look at the painting. What suggests that the artist of the painting is most likely an American? A painting depicting The
Advocard [28]

The correct answer is D) The American flag occupies much of the space.

You forgot to include the painting. However, doing some research we can say the following.

What suggests that the artist of the painting is most likely an American is that the American flag occupies much of the space.

If we observe the painting, we can see a man that is unfurling the American flag that is at the very top of the flagpole. A group of soldiers on one side and a group of civilians on the other are witnessing the event. We can see that the American flag has a prominent place in the painting.

How did different indian societies confront the environmental challenges?
Oksi-84 [34.3K]
In the past, the Indians of North America did not have to face environmental crises until colonists arrived and began to exploit natural resources; since then, the Indians have tried to convince the Americans to preserve nature, for over 200 years they have preserved natural areas that are sacred to them; we can say that the American Indians were the first ecologists, with only the example of Chief Seattle addressing President Franklin Pierce, to tell him that man is part of nature, and if nature dies, so is man. The Indians fought in the past with the colonists for the natural areas, and today they work in concert with the government, from their reservations to save US ecosystems.
