Answer:

9. Juanita's recipe.

10. Leon's recipe.

Step-by-step explanation:

9.  All you need to do is convert the numbers into fractions.

Juanita's recipe: 4 parts lemon, 2 parts sugar.  Lydia's recipe: 5 parts lemon  and 3 parts sugar.  So in order to find the lemon amount in each recipe convert into this fraction:

lemon/sugar

Juanita: lemon/sugar= 4 lemon/2 sugar

Lydia: lemon/sugar= 5 lemon/3 sugar

The LCM is 6 so that is the denominator.

Juanita: 4 lemon/2 sugar= 12 lemon/6 sugar

Lydia: 5 lemon/3 sugar= 10 lemon/6 sugar

The ratio is 4:2= ?:6 and 5:3= ?:6

Juanita has 12 lemon and Lydia has 10, so Juanita has more lemons.

10.  Same as number 9.

Use the fraction peanuts/pretzels because it wouldn't work if peanuts is on the bottom otherwise both Leon and Cisco's peanut amount will be the same.  SO put peanuts over pretzels, so pretzels will be the denominator so we can find the peanut amount.

peanuts/pretzels

Leon: peanuts/pretzels= 3 peanuts/8 pretzels

Cisco: peanuts/pretzels= 2 peanuts/6 pretzels

The LCM is 24 so that is the denominator.

Leon: 3 peanuts/8 pretzels= 9 peanuts/24 pretzels

Cisco: 2 peanuts/6 pretzels= 8 peanuts/24 pretzels

The ratio is 3:8= ?:24 and 2:6= ?:24

Leon has 9 peanuts and Cisco has 8, so Leon has more peanuts.

zalisa [80]

Answer:

We can't prove this with the SAS postulate.

Step-by-step explanation:

SAS means that two sides and the angle between those two sides are equal.

Side Angle Side (SAS)

That's why we can't prove this with the SAS postulate.
