A one party system is one when one, specified party has the power. This is often specified in the constitution. Example: China.

A two party system is one where to parties dominate politics and rule interchangeably. Example: US

A multiparty system is one with many parties, where often new parties are being established. Example: Austria.

This means that the tropics receive more sun rays compared to the poles.
