What statement best describes the system of sharecropping?
andrew11 [14]
Sharecropping is a system in which an individual rents land from a plantation/farm owner. In return, the individual must give the plantation owner some of his crops as a form of payment. After paying for the land, the person renting the land can keep the excess goods/resources. This system was extremely popular in the United States after the Civil War. This is because many newly freed slaves were skilled in farming and needed a way to survive.

How did bread lines address the growing problems of unemployment
masha68 [24]
Bread lines were common during the Great Depression when the government at that time failed to properly tackle the problem of unemployment because of their commitment to balanced budgets, regardless of whether they operated in a free trade or protectionist context. Bread lines resolve the problem by offering free meals to the hungry.
