The Apollo program, as well as the entire American space shuttle project, had political motivations. The space industry has remained the culmination of state-of-the-art technologies. It has increased the proximity and mutual dependence between the development of technology in space agencies and research projects in areas of 'terrestrial' application of these technologies, and it is now possible to establish development strategies largely adjusted between the two strands technology transfer programs. Medicine has been, since the beginning of space exploration, one of the great beneficiaries of the technologies developed for launching and operating space missions, most of the time in a perfectly casual way.

The applications of space technology for the safety of the people are still and especially evident in the area of the radars. Not the radars developed to detect aircraft in the air, but those that were initially proposed for a program of exploration of the Moon's subsoil. Recently, the technology derived therefrom was directed, through a technology transfer program of the European space agency (ESA ) for the detection of anti-personnel mines in areas of the planet where the number of victims of these mines is high, the costs of detection and removal as well, and where there was little hope that the situation would change in the near future.

British raj, period of direct British rule over the Indian subcontinent from 1858 until the independence of India and Pakistan in 1947. The raj succeeded management of the subcontinent by the British East India Company, after general distrust and dissatisfaction with company leadership resulted in a widespread mutiny of sepoy troops in 1857, causing the British to reconsider the structure of governance in India. The British government took possession of the company’s assets and imposed direct rule. The raj was intended to increase Indian participation in governance, but the powerlessness of Indians to determine their own future without the consent of the British led to an increasingly adamant national independence movement.

I NEED HELP WITH THIS PLEASE!!

Manifest destiny is the belief that America was meant to be a country of expansion across the west to the Pacific ocean. It was believed by many Americans (during the 18th and 19th century ) that America was a country predestined by the creator.

Americans felt God the creator was the one that gave them the right to expand westward.

They would feel empowered to ask these people to go a way or not stand in the way because Americans were special and unlike any other people. In the most extreme case Americans were willing to fight and shed blood.

Manifest Destiny and the Mexican war is related because Americans felt that Mexicans were a threat to westward expansion. Therefore they fought against them.
