Why was the capture of Vicksburg important to the north
Furkat [3]

The capture of Vicksburg was important because the city was considered a key point. Lincoln has said that “the war can never be bought to a close until the key is in our pocket”.

To achieve full control of the Mississippi River, the capture of Vicksburg was necessary. When they had control of the river, it was important to the north, because with it they took over and shut down the confederates trade, transportation, and military/fortifications - most of the forts and troops were at Vicksburg and they had to surrender and give the Union 172 artillery pieces-.

How was the Vikings life style ?
Reptile [31]

Answer:

Daily life for most men and women during the Viking Age revolved around subsistence-level farmwork. Almost everyone lived on rural farmsteads that produced most of the goods used by the people who lived there.

The work on a farmstead was divided by gender/sex. Women were customarily charged with the tasks that were performed “within the threshold” of the house, while men were charged with those tasks that lay outside of the house.

The two main tasks of women were producing clothing and preparing food. Women baked, cooked, made alcoholic drinks, and made dairy products such as milk, butter, and cheese. Milking sheep and cows were tasks that fell to women as part of this process, even though those activities were often performed outside of “the threshold.” In winter, the animals were in the homesteads’ longhouses, and so would have been inside a threshold, but in summer the animals were out grazing and were watched over by shepherds who could be either male or female.

Agricultural work, as opposed to food preparation, fell to men. This involved fertilizing, plowing, sowing, harvesting, and threshing. During the harvest, however, all members of the household would typically join in the work, since it was so laborious that all available hands were needed, be they male or female.

When the Soviet Union fell, an ethnic minority from Chechnya wanted independence from Russia. To date, they have not gotten it a
ANEK [815]

Answer:

B. Probably not since they already object to the government

Explanation:

Before I explain the answer, I would like to say that this question is biased. Chechnya is not a terrorist group, they only want their independence because the Soviet Union committed a genocide against them. The answer is not A because their objective isn't violence & chaos, it is just independence. Even if it was a terrorist group, it is not C because that isn't true. D is false as well because no country is going to give an ethnic group independence just to stop the violence.
