Which best analyzes the authors effectiveness in “The Date of Infamy”?

English

Lunna [17]3 years ago

In "The Date of Infamy", by Franklin D. Roosevelt, the option that best analyzes the author's effectiveness is A. The author is very effective because he explains the events that led up to Pearl Harbor and examines how this affected world politics.

In this speech, Roosevelt is very effective. He uses vivid and emotional words "the attack was deliberately planned", "During the intervening time the Japanese government has deliberately sought to deceive the United States by false statements and expressions of hope for continued peace." He continues to say that Japan has attacked the Pacific area. Roosevelt wants Congress to declare war, and also wants the American people to support this idea.

Why do you think people like to be frightened by scary movies? Write no less than 4 sentences.
hram777 [196]
ANSWER:

I believe people like to be frightened by horror movies because, of the thrill and the rush it can have on your body. The sensation people get from watching a scary movie is the same as going down a roller coaster. It’s exciting and exhilarating for some while others find it completely outlandish.

“At the Hearth” is the first chapter from Laura Esquivel's book “Between Two Fires: Intimate Writings on Life, Love, Food & Flavor”.  The stories of Laura Esquivel are surrounded by magical realism and the truths which are beautiful and astonishing at the same time.
