s = 71.6

____________

0.75 - 5/8s = 44

3/4 - 5/8s = 44

3/4 - 3/4 + 5/8s = 44 + 3/4

5/8s = 44 3/4

5/8s / 5/8 = 44 3/4 / 5/8

s= (179/4 / 5/8)

s= (179/4 * 8/5)

s= (179/1 * 2/5)

s= (358/5)

s= (350/5 + 8/5)

s= (70 + 8/5)

s= (70 + 1 + 3/5)

s= 71 3/5

s= 71.6

I checked this and its correct :P Sorry about the late answer, hope this helps!

The number of enrollees in health maintenance organizations (HMOs) in Illinois in a recent year was 2,462,170. This was a 42.2%
Katarina [22]

Answer:

The former number of enrollees was 1423135

Step-by-step explanation:

Current number of enrollments in Health Maintenance Organizations in Illinois in recent year = 2462170

Now, it is found that this number is a result of 42.2% increase from the last year.

So, Previous year the number of enrollments is 42.2% less than the recent number of enrollments

Now, Former number of enrollments = 2462170 - 42.2% of 2462170

                                                               = 2462170 - 0.422 × 2462170

                                                               = 2462170 - 1039035.74

                                                               = 1423134.26 ≈ 1423135

Hence, The former number of enrollees was 1423135

A circle passes through the vertices of
Vika [28.1K]

Answer:

a) 14,1 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

If a circle passes through the vertices of a square then the diagonal of a square is a circle diameter.

We use Pytagoras Theorem to find out the length (L)  of the diagonal given that:

L²  =  (20)²  +  (20)²

L²  = 2* (20)²

L  = √2 * 20

L  = 1,4142* 20

L = 28,28 cm

L diagonal in the square is a diameter of the circle then radius of a circle is:

r = L/2   ⇒   r  = 28,28 /2   ⇒   r = 14,14 cm
