Answer:

y= 3

Step-by-step explanation:

1. plug in 7 - 2y for X in 2x = y = 5   it would look like this  2(7-2y) = y= 5

2. distribute the 2 with what is in the parenthesis. remember PEMDAS!! it would be 14 - 4y + y = 5

3. get the y alone. to do this subtract 14 from both sides. you will have

-4y + y = -9

4. combine the Y. you will get -3y = -9 (remember there is a 1 in front of alone variables that is how i got - 3)

5. divide to get the Y alone. that will be -9/-3 which is 3

your final answer: Y= 3

hope this helped :)

Which set of ordered pairs does not represent a function?
marusya05 [52]

Answer:

C

Step-by-step explanation:

If you see the same number used as an x-coordinate more than once, it is not a function.

O{(-4,9), (-9,3), (1,7),(-6, 6)}

O {(-9,5), (3,5), (0,1),(-6,8)}

o {(8,-1),(4,-4),(4, -3), (9,5)}  --->   4 is used twice as an x-coordinate

O{(-2,-2), (-1,0), (0, -5),(-9,-5)}

can anyone please help with this! it’s so confusing! 100 points to whoever can help me with all of them! and please show how u d

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

(a is in the file)

B. An add 3 inches to height would affect the surface area more than 3 inches to weight because if the same number was multiplied to 0.13 and 0.08… 0.13 would have the greater outcome.

c. a number more than 10 but less than 11 is 10.5

The height is 50 so plug those two numbers into the equation

10.5=0.08W+(0.13)50-1.03

10.5=0.08W+ 6.5-1.03

10.5=0.08W+5.47

Subtract 5.47 from both sides

5.3=0.08

Divide by 0.08 on both sides

= 62.87lbs in one possibility for the value of W

D. a number between 12 and 13 is 12.5

12.5= 0.08w+ 0.13H-1.03

Subtract 1.03 on both sides

11.47= 0.08w+ 0.13H

Divide 11.47 in 2 so that weight and height can be added up to equal 11.47 in the end

5.73=0.08   5.73=0.13

71.68=W    44.07=H

The KM values for the reaction of chymotrypsin with 2 substrates are given below. Which substrate is likely to give a higher val
Mrrafil [7]

N-acetyltyrosine ethyl ester may likely have a higher Vmax.

<h3>How are the Km and Vmax of an enzyme and substrate related?</h3>

Km is inversely proportional enzyme affinity for substrate. The lower the Km, the higher the enzyme affinity for substrate and vice versa.

Vmax is the maximum velocity of the reaction when the enzyme is fully saturated with substrate.

Based on the Km values, chymotrypsin has higher affinity for N-acetyltyrosine ethyl ester, thus, N-acetyltyrosine ethyl ester may likely have a higher Vmax.

In conclusion, the Vmax is the maximum velocity of an enzyme-catalyzed reaction.

<em>Note that the complete question is given below:</em>

<em>The Km for the reaction of chymotrypsin with N-acetylvaline ethyl ester is 8.8 x 10-2 M, and the Km for the reaction of chymotrypsin with N-acetyltyrosine ethyl ester is 6.6 x 10-4 M.</em>

<em>Which of the following substrates is likely to give a higher value for Vmax?</em>

Let f(x) = x2 − 3x − 7. Find f(−3).
elena55 [62]

Answer:

f(-3) = 11

Step-by-step explanation:

To evaluate f(-3), substitute x = - 3 into f(x)

⇒ f ( − 3 )  =  ( − 3 )^ 2  −  3 ( − 3 )  −  7

= 9 + 9 − 7 = 11

hope this helps
