When people started to engage in their agricultural activities, they changed their living style and transitioned from small nomadic groups of hunter-gatherers to settled farmers.

Back then, this was considered a huge change so people started getting some control over the environment of the places where they were living.

Therefore, this agricultural revolution was named after the Neolithic humans as Neolithic Revolution.
