The president's role as chief executive is to appoint generals. negotiate treaties. deploy troops. sign bills. D. The purpose of the office of the president is to help run the government. sign or veto pending legislation... etc.
Really as President it comes down to this your main objective is to be- Chief of State, Chief Executive, Chief Administrator, and Chief Diplomat. There are more of course but within all this being in his office it rather limits his power as the President. Since he is in control of such thing he is responsible to make sure the Government is serving it's people because that is what it was orignally designed for with this being said he is really just there to voice what our choice as a COUNTRY was not to voice his own thoughts.
