Answer:

Women were respected because they helped create and sustain the world.

Explanation:

"The World on Turtle's Back" is a creation myth or legend from the Iroquois people's belief. According to them, a woman gave birth to twins and while pregnant, she "<em>placed the dirt on Turtle's back and performed a ritual to create the earth</em>". This creation myth alone makes them revere the image of the female gender, added to the creation (giving birth) to children, which is not possible for men. This ability to give life also add to the importance of women in their community. The pain and sacrifice that women went through to give birth, their role as carers and providers of food in the home all add to this high valuation of women in the Iroquois society/ community. They were respected for their ability to endure the pain of childbirth and sustaining the world.

Which statement best explains the aesthetic elements of the literary work
iren [92.7K]

The statement that best explains the aesthetic elements of a literary work is Aesthetic elements impart an artistic quality. Aestheticism has to do with beauty, with everything that is pretty and pleasing to the eye. So, aesthetic elements obviously has to do with art and making a literary work more artistic. They usually have no impact on characters, theme, or background of the story, but only on its artistic value.

My deepest apology if this is not what you meant. I would appreciate it if next time you put more detail. Thank you!

Who is Ha? Based on the poem “Birthday Wishes" and one other poem
omeli [17]

Answer:

Ha is a 10-year-old girl who wants to feel close to her family but instead feels very alone. She has three older brothers, but does not really play with them or feel close to them. In the poem “Kim Hà,” she says her brothers tease her, calling her names like “River Horse.” She says she “can’t make her brothers go live elsewhere,” which makes me think she wants to be separate from them. But then in “Birthday Wishes,”she says she “wishes she could do what boys do.” It’s like she wants to be close to them but at the same time she doesn’t, so she pushes them away. It’s the same with her mom. In “Kim Hà,” she says she still “loves being near her mother” and is always just “three steps away.” But then in “Birthday Wishes,” Ha says she wishes her mother wouldn’t “chide her,” and doesn’t talk about feeling close to her at all. I think she wants to be close to her family but doesn’t know how.
