Explanation:

Dia de los muertos is a day to CELEBRATE the dead and remember loved ones.

Halloween is mainly about being AFRAID of the dead and scary things.

The only similarities between these two holidays is that they both have skeletons and such.

The only holiday I can think of that the U.S has that celebrates the dead is Memorial Day which is to honor fallen military soldiers.
