Hello, Geny5!! Space exploration has affected the economy by simple things such as technology and airline businesses. In the technology field, portable devices, like cell phones, mostly started with portable communication systems in space. Whereas the airline business, a lot of the technology in airplanes today was used in order to travel to space and for exploration. If you think about it, when astronauts talk to each other in space, they are using portable technology like cell phones. In airplanes, they have oxygen and the ability to control how to stay in the air/fly/land, like rockets and other things NASA uses. Culturally, it would boil down to technology, again. Many things in our lives today are centered around technology, just like space exploration. They have to have the technology to get them into space and come back down. If it wasn’t for space exploration, we wouldn’t have computers, cell phones, or even solar panels. I hope this helped!! Have a great evening!! :)

b. aa bb cc dd × AA BB CC DD

c. Aa Bb Cc Dd × Aa Bb Cc Dd

d. aa bb cc dd × aa bb cc dd

There will be 16 possible phenotypes among the progeny

b) the probability of producing a child that will phenotypically resemble either one of the two parents is 1.

There will be one possible phenotype among the progeny

c) the probability of producing a child that will phenotypically resemble either one of the two parents is 81/256 = 0.316.

There will be 16 possible phenotypes among the progeny

What is homologous chromosomes?
Yanka [14]

Explanation:

Homologous chromosomes are two pieces of DNA within a diploid organism which carry the same genes, one from each parental source.

In simpler terms, both of your parents provide a complete genome. Each parent provides the same 23 chromosomes, which encode the same genes. So, our cells carry 46 total chromosomes, in two copies. However, each homologous chromosome can provide a different version of each gene. Two versions of each gene create more variety, lower the detrimental effects of negative mutations, and generally stabilize a population.
