People generally move in climates where it's warm, but not too hot. That way they can hunt, raise livestock, and grow food for everyone. Also, it's just a nice climate in general to stay in. Hope this helped :)

although it's actually thought to be much, much longer: over 5000 miles long, if yoiu include natural defensive barriers used in it.
