No! I am not Prince Hamlet, nor was meant to be;
lapo4ka [179]
I believe that the best answer for this question is an allusion. An allusion is a literary device where a writer refers to some other work of literature in their own work of literature in order to make some point or add emphasis. Here, T.S. Eliot is referring to Hamlet by Shakespeare. The speaker is asserting that he is not indecisive, as Hamlet is. Rather, he is like Polonius, a servant of the king in Hamlet. Polonius is a very cautious character but is overall fairly useless. I hope this helps. Don't forget to make me brainiest.

How does Ponyboy’s point of view influence how events in this chapter are described? What can you determine about Ponyboy’s char
elena55 [62]

The point of view presented by Ponyboy allows the reader to understand the events in a more personal and intimate way, as Ponyboy shows how he perceives things and how he feels about them.

Although you haven't shown it, we can see that this question is from the book "The Outsiders." Unfortunately, you didn't show the chapter to which this question refers, which makes it difficult for me to answer it specifically, but I will try to help you in the best possible way.

As we read these books, we can see that:

  • The narrator of the book is Ponyboy, who is also the protagonist of the story.
  • Ponyboy lives with his older brothers.
  • They live with little economic resources and all are involved with street gangs.
  • There is a lot of rivalry between street gangs, which creates a lot of violence and danger for the members.
  • Ponyboy witnesses these dangers many times, as he is part of the greaser gang, which is the enemy of the socs.

When we look at the narration of these conflicts between the gangs, we can see that Ponyboy does not feel represented by either side of the conflict, for this reason, he narrates the events in a more intimate way, reinforcing the sense of displacement he feels.

While Ponyboy doesn't feel like he belongs to any of these gangs, his brothers are very loyal to the greaser gang. In that case, if they narrated the conflicts, they would present a narrative with a strong bias towards how the greasers acted.

You have read that the Reformation began as a reaction to perceived problems with the Catholic Church. Describe how Puritanism m
ryzh [129]
In England, Henry VIII opposed the Roman Catholic Church and the Pope's supremacy, and founded the Church of England (also known as Anglican Church).

However, starting from the XVI century, the so-called Puritans started their religious activism and assembling, under the belief that the Church of England should banish all remnants of Catholic doctrine and religious practices.

First of all, they opposed the King's religious supremacy, which had only replaced Pope's supremacy. According to them, only Christ had such power and dignity as to rule over the church.

Second, they wanted to get rid of all church rituals and decorations, some of which had survived.
