Jacob Blake is an African-American man who was shot in the back during an arrest by cop Rusten Sheskey. The occurrence happened in Kenosha on August 23, 2020, as cops were trying to arrest Blake. Blake was ineffectively tasered then shot after he made way for his SUV and tied to enter the vehicle. Jacob Blake is now paralyzed from the waist down, however, is expected to live. He was at first bound to the emergency clinic bed and officers were posted in his room, yet the binds and representatives were later removed, and a warrant against him was cleared. This whole situation caused an uprise and more protesting on top of what was happing before. Cops are killing more and more African-American citizens, and this is what is throwing people across the country into an outrage. Black Lives Matter protests are happening in masses in response to these occurrences.

What's happing needs to stop. It is upsetting the world and throwing our lives into chaos. I believe that this could've been prevented if cops were better trained and supervised. These cops are being punished, but not as much as deserved. A lot of these men that are being killed wrongly so. A lot of these citizens are doing nothing wrong but being discriminated upon, and it is sad. A lot of people are out there, risking their lives to save the lives of others. Our people are turning against each other, and our people are trying to stop it.

Police are trained to protect lives, and instead are taking them. They aren't being supervised well enough, and they aren't trained like they're supposed to be. They are disobedient and disrespectful to many people. They need to have harsher punishments for actions such as killing for no reason. I think it is self-explanatory as to why cops should stop unnecessarily killing innocent black people who are harmless and are just trying to live. I hope that our world comes to find peace soon before it self destructs.

How did poison gas effect WW1
PSYCHO15rus [73]
The use of poison gas in World War I was a major military innovation. The gases ranged from disabling chemicals, such as tear gas and the severe mustard gas, to lethal agents like phosgene and chlorine. This chemical warfare was a major component of the first global war and first total war of the 20th century. The killing capacity of gas was limited — only 4% of combat deaths were due to gas — however, the proportion of non-fatal casualties was high, and gas remained one of the soldiers' greatest fears
Poison gas was indiscriminate and could be used on the trenches even when no attack was going on. Whereas the machine gun killed more soldiers overall during the war, death was frequently instant or not drawn out and soldiers could find some shelter in bomb/shell craters from gunfire. A poison gas attack meant soldiers having to put on crude gas masks and if these were unsuccessful, an attack could leave a victim in agony for days and weeks before he finally succumbed to his injuries.
By the time the war ended, the main user of poison gas was Germany, followed by France and then Britain. Though poison gas was a terrifying weapon, its actual impact, rather like the tank, is open to debate. The number of fatalities was relatively few - even if the terror impact did not diminish for the duration of the war.

Are laws against Holocaust denial and other hate speech good or bad? Consider the possible benefits of the laws as well as drawb
Naddik [55]
These laws are bad. Creating legal repercussions for someone who simply has a viewpoint that differs from the mainstream (albeit a very odd viewpoint) is similar to the thought police in the book "1984". People should not be prosecuted for ideas, no matter how wrong those ideas or feelings are.
