The giant cyclops caused him no harm in the captivity all along , however he longed to go back to itchica , and reunite with the family .He was longing to go back to his family ,and meet them ,as he had not met them for the last 20 years.but having lost all his boys, if he went back home ,he would invite the anger of all gods .so, i feel odysseus should not have stayed back home .
