The answer would be 32 miles (I think) if you set up a proportion you should get this answer.

32 miles. I knew that 3 hours I went 8 miles. Then if I went 6 miles that means I went 16 miles. Then if I went 9 hours then I would have gone 14 miles. If I went 12 hours I would have gone 32 miles. I added three (3) to every hour until I got to 12, and I add eight (8) to every mile.

If you add the lengths of the focal radii of an ellipse, what other value will you produce?
ss7ja [257]

Equation of an ellipse

→having center (0,0) , vertex ((\pm a ,0) and covertex (\pm b ,0) and focus (\pm c ,0) is given by:

\frac{x^2}{a^2} + \frac{y^2}{b^2}=1

As definition of an ellipse is that locus of all the points in a plane such that it's  distance from two fixed points called focii  remains constant.

Consider two points (a,0) and (-a,0) on Horizontal axis of an ellipse:

Distance from (a,0) to (c,0) is = a-c = F_{1}

Distance from (-a,0) to (c,0) is = a + c = F_{2}

F_{1} + F_{2} = a -c + a +c

          = a + a

        = 2  a  →(Option A )

allsm [11]

Answer:

The number of pies baked in the two years = ( k + 145) pies

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, we are interested in writing an expression for the total number of pies baked in the two years.

Last year, the number of pies baked = 145

This year the number of pies baked = k

Thus, the total number of pies baked in the two years will be ( k + 145) pies

Find the slope and y-intercept of the line x+3y=3...
katovenus [111]
So first put this in slope intercept form, y=mx+b. subtract x from both sides so now you have 3y=-x+3 and to get y by itself divide both sides by 3 so now you have y=(-x/3) +1 or y=-1/3(x)+1 the slope is m and the y-intercept is b so the slope is -1/3 and the y-intercept is 1
