The answer would be 32 miles (I think) if you set up a proportion you should get this answer.

32 miles. I knew that 3 hours I went 8 miles. Then if I went 6 miles that means I went 16 miles. Then if I went 9 hours then I would have gone 14 miles. If I went 12 hours I would have gone 32 miles. I added three (3) to every hour until I got to 12, and I add eight (8) to every mile.

Answer:

32 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

First setup an equation

500 + 22x = 1204 the x represents how many hours she worked an that is what we want to know. So to find out x you do this......

22x + 500 = 1204

1204-500= 704

704/22 = 32

So, X = 32 hours

Answer:

Some keywords include "starting amount," you should look out for this because it will be the y-intercept for the equation. Another keyword may be "daily" or "monthly" or "yearly," which would be the coefficient of x, or the amount that y increases with an increase of 1 in x.

Wolfgang and Heinrich worked as electricians at $14 and $12 per hour respectively. One month Wolfgang worked 10 hours more than
Licemer1 [7]

Let us say that:

x = hours worked by Wolfgang

y = hours worked by Heinrich

So that:

x = y + 10

14 x + 12 y = 3520

By combining the two equations:

14 (y + 10) + 12 y = 3520

14 y + 140 + 12 y = 3520

26 y = 3380

y = 130 hours

x = y + 10 = 140 hours

So Wolfgang worked 140 hours while Heinrich worked 130 hours.
