The Sassanian Empire controlled what is currently the Persian region and the Middle East, including at extent places like Egypt, Judea, and up to the Indus River.  The Sassanian Empire and the Byzantine had a very turmoilous relationship resulting in multiple wars in the Irano-Byzantine wars from 282 to c. 628, which left both empires crippled.

First in this battle at Upper Silesia the industrialized region on the German-Polish border in 1921. Both Germany and Poland needed power and this population comprised of both nationalities. The League of Nations organized the Plebiscite so that the Silesians would take on their status. The business countries voted mostly for German state while the rural states voted to be Polish. The League of Nations separated the area along these lines, but it made at good guards to prevent future conflicts.
