How did the Cotten gin work ?
tester [92]

The gin stand uses the teeth of rotating saws to pull the cotton through a series of "ginning ribs", which pull the fibers from the seeds which are too large to pass through the ribs. The cleaned seed is then removed from the gin via an auger conveyor system.

How did politics change under the pressures of war and economic hardships?
goldfiish [28.3K]
The economic problems faced by the Congress deeply touched the lives of most Americans in the 1780s. The war had disrupted much of the American economy. On the high seas the BRITISH NAVY had great superiority and destroyed most American ships, crippling the flow of trade. On land, where both armies regularly stole from local farms in order to find food, farmers suffered tremendously.

Who was Mao Zedong? How did he come to be in charge of the Chinese Communist Party? How did he come to be in charge of all of Ch
nataly862011 [7]
Mao was a Chinese communist who wanted China to be put under a communist regime.

He came into power by taking on and defeating the Chinese nationalists who fled to Taiwan.

He enacted a one party system and had the government control anything

The first two decades of communist rule in China was pretty good. The economy was doing well and the country was stable. In 1997 I think, there was a revolution to end communist rule after the fall of the Soviet Union earlier in 1991. Hundreds and thousands of people would die. Hong Kong was given back to China but Hong Kong was allowed to have its own government until 2047. But China wants Hong Kong to be theirs and they’re doing everything they can to have the prosperous City.
