PRO An economy based on the relationship between supply and demand promotes healthy competition. Companies strive to offer better goods or services than other, similar companies. If one company offers more extensive goods and its profit margins increase, then that inspires its competitors to get innovative so that they can retain or gain some of that market. This lively symbiosis is the backbone of free enterprise, and is a huge positive. Consumers gain when companies compete to offer more products or services in varied, often more efficient ways. Consider how the shopping industry drastically changed during the last 10 years with Amazon able to ship products directly to consumers, saving them money and time spent driving to a “big box” store.

CON That potential for profit is as alluring as it is dangerous. In order to maximize the highest profit margin, potential companies often resort to unethical or even illegal behavior. The 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill is arguably a symptom of such a mindset, because of rushing, that oil company caused a horrific natural disaster. Such behavior is detrimental to its employees, because a company is not paying attention to, safety protocols, for example. Rushing or not paying attention to safety protocols, can cause lives lost or at least caused sickness and injury. Free enterprise suffers when companies go completely unchecked and foster corrupt competition.

padilas [110]

Answer:

By "the imponderabilia of native life and of typical behavior", Bronislaw Malinowski meant the primary features of a native life that ethnographers need to understand.

Explanation:

Bronislaw Malinowski was a renowned anthropologist whose works are being well-studied by many scholars today. He contributed immensely in the field of ethnography and social theory.

He mostly based his researches with the ethno-cultural norms and heritage of locals and natives. He believed that anthropologists should understand the norms and customs of a local community before any researches are being ascertained. He lived his life mostly studying the local customs and lifestyles of different native communities.

Bronislaw Malinowski referred to everyday cultural patterns as "the imponderabilia of native life and of typical behavior". This is because he believed that cultural features and distinctions such as lifestyle, noise, smell, gesture and other distinctive features are fundamental for ethnographers to take into account to understand and classify a particular community.

What is the clear difference between GDP and GNP?
wariber [46]

Explanation:

GDP or Gross domestic product is a total value of the domestic produce of the nation at a specific time period.

The GNP or Gross national product is the total value of all the finished goods and services which is owned by a nation's residents over a time period. The difference between Gross domestic product and Gross national product is that GDP limits the understanding of the economy within the country while GNP extends its meaning to the total value of produce which includes economic activities done outside the country by its nationals.

Gross domestic product indicates how a country is developing as an economy. While GNP shows how the citizens of a particular country are contributing to the economy of the country.
