There are 5 autonomous regions in China today. One of them is Tibet, and the others are: <span>Guangxi, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, and Xinjiang. They have local governments and their own laws. They are usually centered around a minority ethnicity, for example, Xinjiang is home to the Uyghurs (and some other minorities).</span>
