Chemical reaction equations, such as the one for photosynthesis, show the reactants and products of a reaction. How does this si

mplification misrepresent what takes place during the process of photosynthesis?
a. It does not show where in a cell photosynthesis occurs.
b. It does not show how long photosynthesis takes to happen.
c. It does not show that photosynthesis consists of many separate reactions.

c. It does not show that photosynthesis consists of many separate reactions. The simplified chemical reaction equation of photosynthesis is: <span>6CO2 + 6H2O ------> C6H12O6 + 6O<span>2. This equation doesn't show the many other reactions involved in photosynthesis, including the the two important components, the light and dark cycle.

The photosynthesis is a complex reaction which takes place in multiple steps. The light and dark reactions are a part of the photosynthesis, but these reactions are not shown during the simplistic representation of the photosynthetic reaction in which only the reactants ,and the products are shown. The whole mechanism and the multistep reactions are not shown in this simplistic representation, which may lead to the misinterpretation that photosynthesis is a simple one step reaction.

Hence, the correct answer is 'Option C - it does not show that photosynthesis is composed of many separate reactions'.

Explain what is ecological conservation and conservation of the environment. What can you do to conserve the environment? Why do
den301095 [7]

Answer:

Conservation ecology is the branch of ecology and evolutionary biology that deals with the preservation and management of biodiversity and natural resources. Its goal is to find ways to conserve species, habitats, landscapes, and ecosystems as quickly, as efficiently, and as economically as possible.

-These are some examples of how we can conserve the environment:

Recycle your rubbish and participate in or help organize recycling campaigns.

Avoid littering and participate in or help organize litter clean-ups (here you can link to a website for volunteering or starting your own beach clean-up).

Use less plastic by, for example, carrying a reusable water bottle, saying no to disposable straws and cutlery, avoiding plastic toys, and bringing your own shopping bags (for further ideas on a plastic-free life take a look here).

Swap toys, movies, and books instead of buying new ones.

Donate, recycle, and repair electronic devices (see how here).

Use less water when brushing teeth, taking a shower, or washing the dishes.

Use less electricity by turning off lights and electronic devices when not in use, using energy-saving light bulbs, and hanging clothes to dry.

Use public transport, share a journey with friends (e.g., car-sharing), cycle, or walk when possible.

Use less paper by not printing unnecessary things and reading e-books.

Turn down the air conditioning when it is hot and use fans if you are still hot-they use much less power.

Turn down the heat when it is cold and use sweaters, blankets, and socks to keep warm.

Do not waste food and try to buy food that is grown locally and in season.

Hope this helps:)

Which stage of cellular respiration produces the most atp?
ankoles [38]

Answer:

Electron transport Chain (Oxidative phosphorylation)

Explanation:

Cellular respiration can be defined as the process that involves the breakdown of glucose molecules into CO2 and H2O to generate energy inform of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP).  Also, cellular respiration usually takes place in the cells of an organism by converting biochemical energy present nutrients into Adenosine Triphosphate. Furthermore, it takes place in three stages which includes: glycolysis, TCA cycle and Electron transport (Oxidative phosphorylation). Thus, oxidative phosphorylation is the final stage of aerobic cellular respiration that produces maximum ATPs.

Answer:

In the chloroplast.

Explanation:

Chlorophyll is a green pigment plants use to absorb light so they can make food via photosynthesis. Chloroplasts are organelles that contain chlorophyll, so it only makes sense that the best answer is the chloroplast.
