Did you know that sea otters can stay underwater for four minutes? Sea otters are amusing and peaceful creatures that are a bene

fit to the environment and protected by law. Once hunted for their fur almost to extinction by the early twentieth century, today there are upwards of 150,000 sea otters. Their funny way of floating on the water’s surface to sleep, as well as their methods for hunting and eating, make them a delight to study. By developing an appreciation for this unique aquatic mammal, it is hoped that they will stayed protected for many years to come.

How did the author's uncle attempt to defend the English? In your opinion, why is the uncle more tolerant of the English than th
aleksley [76]

Answer and Explanation:

This question is about "The dirty English."

The uncle tried to defend the English by trying to justify the behavior that the English had and that were very different from the behavior of the Hindus. It is likely that the uncle is more tolerant of the English than his grandmother because Uncle lived two years in England and learned to judge the English based on English culture and not based on Hindu culture, as the grandmother did.

Why does the infographic refer to the years 1400 to 1775 as a “great age”?
alexira [117]

The info graphic refers the years 1400 to 1775 as a "great age" as it was the period of witch hunting all over the world.

Explanation:

During the early 1400, many got into witchcraft and went into absurd extreme things, and this was put to an end from 1400 to 1775. The info graphic refers the years 1400 to 1775 as a "great age" as it was the period of witch hunting all over the world.

From the country Russia to the Bermuda and from Scotland to the coastline Brazil, the witch hunt was fierce. Many were taken in pursuit, like nearly 100,000 were put under the legal action of the government and nearly 50,000 were sentenced to death as their punishment.

Many were hanged both women and men and many were pressed to death cause of the disaster they did to many families especially in small families.
