Why can diamonds form in the mantle apex?

Geography
2 answers:
Lelechka [254]3 years ago

The weight of the rocks above the mantle results in "high pressure". Diamonds need high "temperatures and pressure" to form from "carbon". Diamonds form in the mantle in certain zones were conditions are right for them to do so. There just happens to be the right critical "Tempature, pressure, mineral" environment in the mantle in certain zones for their formation.

the element that is formed under extreme "heat and pressure" is "carbon"

The "pressure" mantle is 23g/cookies 5.

I hope this helps.

Explanation:

Geologist have divided the history of the earth into 4 main periods of time; the Eons, the Eras the Periods and the Epoch. How is science involved in the exploration for oil and natural gas? How is technology involved in this exploration? The Big Sque
Leto [7]

Answer:

A. Geology

B. Computer aided designs

C. Dead organisms in the oceans

D. Helps in converting dead organisms into oil and gas

Explanation:

The oil and natural gas are buried under layers and this requires a good knowledge of "geology". Furthermore, equipments must be built to explore this oil and natural gas

Involvement of Technology has to do with "Computer aided models" being generated. Seismic surveys and satellites used to collect data.

Oil and gas began as dead plants and animals living in the ocean millions of years ago.

Role of sedimentation: the Organisms in the ocean died and went to the bottom of the ocean, where a layer of sediment would cover them. Over the years, alternating layers of dead organisms and sediments were formed. As the layers bottled up, the immense pressure and heat converted the dead organisms into oil and natural gas.

What is the difference between a fracture zone and transform fault? A transform fault is a crack, but a fracture zone is a hole
Sladkaya [172]

Answer:

A "transform fault" is a fault line where two tectonic plates slide against each-other. Not all faults are transform faults.  Some plates separate and allow magma to seep up and like a scab, creating new ground (these are called divergent faults.)  Other faults, such as convergentfaults, occur when two plates smush into each-other and one is forced below the other where it heats up and is eventually destroyed. And the fracture zone is thus the junction between oceanic crustal regions of different ages.
